What 402 Web Hosting collects, why, and who handles it.

Information you send us

If you use the contact form, we receive the details you enter: your name, business name, email address, optional phone number, and your message. If you arrived from a website preview link, we also receive which preview that link was for, so we know what you are asking about.

How we use it

We use this information only to read your inquiry and follow up with you about your project, by email or, if you provided a number, by phone. We do not use it for anything else and we do not sell it.

How your message is delivered

The form sends your message to our business email through a third-party email delivery service. We do not save form submissions in a database or customer-management system. Your message then lives in our email inboxes and in the delivery service’s records under that service’s own practices. We have not set a formal retention schedule.

Analytics and tracking on this website

The 402 Web Hosting pages (home, contact, and privacy) do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not set cookies on them.

Some business owners receive a postcard with a QR code that opens a personalized website preview. When that QR code is scanned, we count the visit. For that, we set a cookie that holds a random identifier (no name, email, or IP address), which lasts up to 90 days and helps us count repeat visits. We also count clicks on the link that asks about a preview. This applies only to people who arrive through those QR codes.

Hosting and other services

This website is hosted on Vercel, which, like most hosts, processes technical request data such as IP address and browser type to serve pages and keep the service secure. Fonts are served from this website, not loaded from Google at visit time. Our contact-form email delivery service is described above.

Website previews

Personalized website previews are prepared independently by 402 Web Hosting. They are not commissioned or approved by the businesses they depict, and they use only information we believe to be publicly available about the business.
